These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Overthought mobile app. By using Overthought, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Overthought Is
Overthought is a case-based app that helps users analyze social situations and reflect on whether they may be overthinking.
The app provides:
– Local verdicts.
– Delusion/overthinking scores.
– Suggested next moves.
– Saved case history.
– Optional AI-powered Deep Reads.
– Premium features where available.
2. Not Professional Advice
Overthought is for entertainment, reflection, and general informational purposes only.
It does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, relationship counseling, or other professional advice.
You are responsible for your own decisions and actions.
3. User Content
You are responsible for the situations, updates, and other content you submit.
Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, threatening, or violates another person’s rights.
You should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information.
4. AI Deep Reads
Deep Reads are AI-generated and may be imperfect, incomplete, or inaccurate.
The local verdict remains the app’s basic result, while Deep Read provides additional AI-generated commentary.
Do not rely on Deep Reads as professional advice.
5. Accounts
You may use the app as a guest or create an account where available.
Guest data is stored locally on your device and may be lost if the app is deleted or local data is cleared.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your account email.
6. Subscriptions and Premium
Overthought may offer paid premium features.
Premium may include additional or expanded access to Deep Reads and related features.
Premium access may be subject to fair-use limits to prevent abuse and protect service reliability.
Subscription billing, cancellation, refunds, and renewals are handled through the Apple App Store where applicable.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
7. Purchases and Restore
If you purchase premium access, the app may use RevenueCat and Apple services to verify your entitlement.
The Restore Purchases option can be used to restore eligible purchases.
8. Account Deletion
If you create an account, you may delete it from inside the app. Deleting your account removes associated backend account data, subject to technical and legal limitations.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
– Abuse, overload, or interfere with the app.
– Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access.
– Reverse engineer or misuse the app.
– Use the app for unlawful or harmful purposes.
– Submit content that violates the rights of others.
10. Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time.
AI services, subscriptions, and third-party integrations may occasionally fail, be delayed, or become unavailable.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Overthought is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
We are not responsible for decisions you make based on app outputs.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
